明るく元気に育ったイ・ユル

王族としてすくすくと育っていた

そんなユルは、ある日、名家の娘ユン・イソと出会う。

ユルは可愛く頭もよく、そしておてんば娘のイソに惹かれ、将来結婚しようと告白。

 

だが、ユルはイソの家でイソの父親が殺されるのを目撃してしまう。

それは、ユルの父親を国王にするためにイソの父親を逆賊に仕立て上げた謀反だった。

 

16年後・・・

父が王様となりユルは、跡継ぎである世子となっていた。

だが、ユルは、孤独の中で生き、笑顔を見せない青年となっていた

世子となったユルは、橋の近くで初恋をしたイソに似ている女性を見かけとっさに追いかけるが見失ってしまった。

ユルは、医女殺しの黒幕を暴くために誕生日の宴を開くことに・・！

 

医女に刺さった弓を見分けるために贈り物として弓矢を指定。

それで刺客の出どころを探ろうとしていた。

 

一方、ホンシムという名前で生活をしていたイソ。

生き別れてしまった兄と会う約束をしていた橋へいくが、会うことができなかった。

村へ戻ると、世子が出した命令のせいで婚姻を迫られてしまう

ホンシムは結婚を拒んだために役所で罰を受けていた。

義父であるヨン氏がいいなずけであるウォンドゥクと結婚すると約束しなんとか解放される。

 

だが、そのウォンドゥクは、兵役に行ったまま帰らずの男性

だから会ったこともなかった。

 

記憶を失っている世子ユルは、ヨン氏から、自分の名前はウォンドゥクだと告げられるが知らない女性とは結婚できないと断る。

 

一方、王宮ではいなくなったユルの身を案じていた・・・
