明るくしっかり者のヨンシンは、田舎町で食堂を営む青年ギョンスと２人暮らし。

８歳の頃に天涯孤独となり、血のつながらないギョンスに引き取られた。

常連客が集う食堂でヨンシンは同い年のダジョン、ジョンフン、オボクと毎晩いっしょに食卓を囲み、町の人々から愛情をたっぷり受けて育つ。

 

ギョンスと共に食堂を切り盛りしてきたヨンシンは、高校卒業後、市内最大の高級韓国料理店“宮殿”に就職。

「温かいごはんで空腹の人々を癒す料理人になりたい」という夢に向かって歩み始めるが、思いがけない困難が彼女を待ち受けていた。
