あらすじ
上流階級の令嬢のチョン・ミガンと結婚して権力を得るために、自分の子をみごもる恋人イ・スニョンを自殺に追い込んだカン・チファン。母子ともに死亡したと思っていたチファンだったが、スニョンは秘密裏に娘ヘインを出産し、チファンの秘書で友人のナ・ジョンイムに託していた。8 年後、養護施設で生活するヘインは、池に落ちた少年ハ・ジヌを偶然助けて仲良くなる。しかし、その矢先に養子縁組が決定。すぐに新たな家に引き取られてしまう。養子先が決まったことを聞いて不安になったジョンイムがヘインのもとを訪ねると、彼女は養父母から虐待されていた。ジョンイムはヘインを一時保護することを決意し、チファンの屋敷の自分の部屋で一緒に暮らすことにするが…。
