あらすじ

今から1500年前の新羅時代。賤民の村で暮らすムミョン(パク・ソジュン)は、生き別れた家族を捜したいという親友のマンムン(イ・グァンス)と共に都に潜入する。

ところが、二人は禁軍に追われて深手を負い、マンムンは命を落とす。

ムミョンはマンムンの本名“ソヌ”を名乗り、彼の妹であるアロ(Ara)を守るために生きようと決意する。

 

一方、新羅第24代王の真興(チヌン)王 (パク・ヒョンシク)は、摂政の母・只召(チソ)太后の命令で世間に顔を明かすことなく生きている。

不眠に悩む真興王は、街で語り部のアロの話を聞いているうちに眠りに誘われ、彼女に興味を抱く。

 

そんな中、只召太后は見目麗しい貴公子を集めて王の親衛隊“花郎(ファラン)”を創成すると宣言。

ムミョンことソヌは親友の命を奪った者への復讐心から、真興王は母から王権を奪還すべくジディという偽名で花郎になる。

 

それぞれの目的を果たすために花郎となったソヌとジディはぶつかり合いながらも絆を深め、成長していくが…。

ハラハラドキドキもありますが、そこまで深くはないのでかなりあっさりしたものなので中級者以上の方には物足りないかも！？
