世子様のお父さんは朝鮮王朝の王。
一方、ラオンの父ホン・ギョンネは反乱を起こした人物として追われていました。
そのため、ラオンは「逆賊の娘」という立場になってしまいます。
王家に反乱を起こした人物の娘だと知られてしまえば、世子様との関係は簡単ではありません。
ラオンが世子様から離れようとした理由のひとつですね。
世子様とラオンは本当に愛し合っていた
最初は男装した“サムノム”として出会ったラオン。
世子様は少しずつサムノムに惹かれていき、
「男なのか、女人なのか…」
と悩みながらも、ラオンへの気持ちを止められなくなっていきます。
ラオンもまた、世子様の優しさや孤独を知り、恋心を抱くように…。
だからこそ、2人の恋は切なくて応援したくなるんですよね。
最終回でラオンが王宮にいなかった理由
最終回では、世子様は王となり、キム一派も倒れてハッピーエンドのように見えました。
ですが、ラオンは王宮にいません。
最後、世子様はラオンのいる街へ会いに行きます。
つまり、2人は一緒に暮らしていない描写になっているんですね。
なぜラオンは王妃になれなかった？
そこには当時の厳しい身分制度があります。
王妃や世子嬪になる女性には、
- 良い家柄
- 両班の血筋
- 家系的な条件
など、厳しい条件がありました。
ラオンはその条件に当てはまらなかったため、正式に王妃として迎えるのは難しかったのではないかと思われます。
そのため、ドラマでは「愛し合っているけれど別々に暮らしている」という描写になったのかもしれませんね。

本当は、
「ラオンが王妃になって、世子様と幸せに暮らしました♡」
というラストも見てみたかったですよね。
