家庭の事情で大学進学を諦め、働き始めたカン・ハニ。
母のウネ、妹のサランと３人でつつましく暮らしていた。
正社員で働くためにある食品企業の面接を受けるが、高卒でしかも職歴がアルバイト経験しかないことをバカにされ、落とされてしまう。
ハニに残されたのは、今契約社員で働いているテレビショッピングの会社で正社員になることだった。
しかし、そこで起こった騒動がハニによるものだと商品戦略担当のハンギョルに誤解され、クビになってしまう。
何度かハンギョルの誤解を解こうと奮闘するも顔を合わせれば喧嘩になってしまい、うまくいかない。
ハニは、それでも挫けず新しいアルバイトに励む中、父親が準備していたアパレル事業を展開できないまま亡くなったことを知り、代わりにアパレル会社を設立することを決意する。
一方、ハンギョルと同じ会社に勤めるジウンには、幼い頃に行方不明になった同い年の従妹スジョンがいた。
ジウンとスジョンは生まれた時からいつも比較され、ジウンはみんなに愛されるスジョンに対して、幼いながらに嫉妬心を抱いていた。
ある日、２人のケンカがきっかけでスジョンが車にはねられ、運転手に連れ去られてしまう――。
ジウンは、自分のせいで事故が起きてしまったことを当時誰にも話せなかった。それから20年、行方不明だったスジョンが突然現れ…。
