あらすじ
チョンアグループに仕えるカン･ピルジュ（チャン･ヒョク）は、書類のねつ造、裏金の操作、果ては財閥一家の放蕩息子チャン･ブチョン（チャン･スンジョ）の代わりに服役するなど、理不尽な要求を全て実現する敏腕弁護士。
彼に絶大な信頼を置くブチョンの母チョン･マルラン（イ･ミスク）は、ブチョンをむげにし、いとこのヨチョンばかりをかわいがる創業者のチャン･グクファン（イ･スンジェ）の姿に、息子ブチョンの後継者の座が危ういことを感じる。
そんなマルランに、ピルジュは次期大統領候補の娘ナ･モヒョン（パク･セヨン）とブチョンの政略結婚を提案する。
恋愛結婚を夢みるモヒョンのために、ピルジュが見事な“運命の出会い”を演出すると、モヒョンは自然とブチョンを愛するようになる。
ところが、計画の中でピルジュは、かつて一度だけ心を許した女性がモヒョンであったことを知る。
“財閥一家の犬”と揶揄されるほどの忠誠心とは裏腹に、自らの人生と家族を奪った財閥一家への燃えるような復讐心を抱いて生きていたピルジュだが、彼女の笑顔を目にするたび、彼女が自分に向けて穏やかに語りかけるたびに、罪の意識にさいなまれていく。
そんなある日、モヒョンに一通の封筒が届く…。
